ShowSteersForSale.com was founded to create an affordable, easy to use, feature-rich breeder and cattle sales promotion website geared toward the show cattle and the high performance breeding industries.
Believing a directory website should provide more than just a line listing and a link for a customer for a few hundred dollars, ShowSteersForSale.com combines solid, state of the art technology to help our customers promote their operations, enjoy advanced web features and ultimately get a better return on their advertisement dollar at a low cost.

Founding
ShowSteersForSale.com is managed and developed by Austin Elling of Elling Technologies.
Austin grew up on a family farm in North Central Iowa where his father (Fred Elling Sr.) built and ran his own cattle feedlot until the Farm Crisis forced him out of the cattle business in the early 90’s. Still loving cattle he started a cow/calf operation that lasted until 2010 until Fred retired. During the 80’s and 90’s Fred introduced his sons Fred Jr. and Austin to the world of showing cattle. Fred Sr. had loved showing cattle when he was younger and wanted to share that experience with his sons. Throughout the 80s and 90s the Elling boys could be seen at club calf sales across the Midwest and shows throughout the seasons including the Iowa Winter Beef Expo, Sioux Empire Stock Show, Iowa State Fair and the American Royal to name a few.
Even though they didn’t win much, showing cattle and the bonding with their father through showing was a great experience, one that they believe should continue on now that they have their own families. To that extent ShowSteersForSale.com was created to help breeders promote their operations and sales affordably along with providing tools that make the process easy.
